The relay XUFD of the easy PROFESSIONAL LINE is a digital grid and system protection relay for decentralized generation units, such as hydroelectric power plants and photovoltaic systems.
The legal requirements for grid and system protection vary depending on the country, but in general, this protection is mandatory even for relatively small generation units (typ. 10 ... 30 kW) as soon as they feed into the public grid. (For Germany, for example, the limit is 30 kW.)

Protection Settings
The XUFD has a huge variety of ready-to-use parameter sets for many connectivity directives that exist worldwide. After selecting the directive that is valid for your country/area, the XUFD is ready to protect your system.
If the local directive allows some parameters to vary their values then these settings are done with the same ease because the XUFD continuously checks all settings for conformity with the pre-selected directive.
But of course, it is also possible to make all protection settings (under-/overvoltage, under-/overfrequency, frequency gradient/RoCoF, vector surge) freely and independent of any directives.
